Given the initiatives by the Victorian Government regarding Logistics and Supply Chain Management, the Institute can play a significant role in serving, contributing and supporting these initiatives in the interest of Victoria and its economy.

 ·         National: Australian industry and government are increasingly viewing as a single entity from a supply chain viewpoint. The Institute can assist in developing this approach through collaborative research and national consulting initiatives.

 ·         International: Many Australian companies have manufacturing operations, product import or retail supply agreements in Asia, especially . As Supply Chains lengthen so does complexity in Logistics - the ILSCM can provide an understanding for organisations of the competitive nature of Supply Chains within the Asia Pacific region.
