This Institute has been established by Victoria University as a "Knowledge Centre" for Logistics and Supply Chain Management and serves as industry's first contact point for Logistics and Supply Chain issues. The ILSCM is well-respected and a recognised Knowledge Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the Asia Pacific region. It brings Government, Industry and Academia together in the development, support and facilitation of Logistics and Supply Chain Management knowledge and expertise to the benefit of Australian and region economies. Australia's position concerning the economic potential of trade within the Asia Pacific region emphasises the importance of Supply Chains and Logistics in International Trade and in this context, ILSCM will play a significant role in the development of advanced thinking.
