AUSTRALIAN APPRENTICESHIPS Australian Apprenticeships are a great way to get a head start in a chosen career or to retrain for the career you have always wanted. They enable you to learn skills in a particular industry by working and training on-the-job and, in many cases, from off-the-job training with a Registered Training Organisation (such as a TAFE institute or a private training provider). As a result, you gain skills and qualifications nationally recognised by the industry in which you have been working. An Australian Apprenticeship can be full-time or part-time. The length of an Australian Apprenticeship depends on the industry, the specific occupation or trade, any previous training undertaken and how quickly you become competent in the skills of the Australian Apprenticeship. Generally, Australian Apprenticeships can be started at any age and do not require any entry qualifications. There are now also a range of financial assistance packages available to support Australian Apprentices. For more information contact Jobs Plus Apprenticeships Services Phone 03 9919 8533 or visit www.jobsplusbiz.com.au You can also speak with a Consultant by visiting one of the Jobs Plus offices located at either Footscray Nicholson or City Flinders Campus.
