Australian Government reforms support Tasmanian freight programmes SNIPPET: A package of reforms to the Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme and the Tasmanian Wheat Freight Scheme was announced today by the Minister for Local Government, Territories and Roads, Jim Lloyd. Mr Lloyd said the Australian Government was responding to the Productivity Commission's inquiry into the Tasmanian Freight Subsidy Arrangements. "The Australian Government is confirming its commitment to the Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme and the Tasmanian Wheat Freight Scheme," Mr Lloyd said.
