Top Australian firm selected as Managing Contractor for $100 million ASC shipyard refit SNIPPET: Leading Australian project management firm Hansen Yuncken has been selected as the Managing Contractor for a $100 million refit and expansion of the ASC shipyard in Adelaide, the Minister for Finance and Administration and Liberal Senator for South Australia Senator Nick Minchin said today. "This shipyard, to be completed by October 2009 after a two-year build, will create 250 jobs and include AWD production facilities, new office accommodation for 400 employees, a wharf support building with office space and workshops, and a major upgrade of existing facilities. ASC (formerly known as the Australian Submarine Corporation) is the Government-owned shipbuilding company based in Adelaide.
