Further step in Hunter Valley Rail Upgrade completed SNIPPET: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport and Regional Services, Mark Vaile, today welcomed the commissioning of the $10.5 million Muswellbrook Junction and Passing Loop project in the Australian Rail Track Corporation Ltd (ARTC) Hunter Valley coal rail network. "This new junction and passing loop will further increase the Hunter Valley rail network's capacity. Mr Vaile said that this project was a further demonstration of the Australian Government's commitment, through ARTC, to the export coal, grain, intermodal and other rail freight users of the vitally important Hunter Valley rail network.
