Overview

Governing a Logistics City, sighting various examples globally, requires not only a governance structure, but having such governance structure supported by a macro policy/governance framework that will address matters such as land allocation, infrastructure portals, investment incentives, manufacturing strategies , etc. The Policy/Governance Framework will span all three kevels of Government and will provide an Integrated Policy Framework for the Logistics City. Therefore, this part of the research will investigate policy alignment, investment incentive models and development of infrastructure governance concepts that will enable efficient investment and infrastructure development within a Logistics City.

Research Objective

The objective is to assess current policy and governance models towards a policy alignment which could provide a framework and mechanism for the understanding and communication of government policies that facilitate the sustainable growth of trade and the urban environment within a Logistics City. It will provide a mechanism for the collaborative development and implementation of measures to remove impediments to trade and economic growth.
