Resume:
Wei Dai is a member of faculty staff with the School of Information Systems, Victoria University, in Melbourne, Australia. His current research interests include knowledge management systems, application integrations, Web services, intelligent agents, knowledge grids and composite framework for complex tasks within e-Business environments. Before moving to the academic field, he worked in the private IT industry during 2000 and 2001 in Melbourne as a project leader and senior engineer where he led a team of software engineers for products development and deployment, and accumulated real-world experiences in computing applications for business.
He was a research scientist with Australian Government R & D institutions including Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and Telecom (now Telstra) Australia Research Laboratories, in Melbourne Australia. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Murdoch University, Western Australia.
He is a member of the technical committee on intelligent informatics (TCII) of the IEEE Computer Society, and a member of IEEE SMC technical committee of knowledge acquisition in intelligent systems. He served in the International Program Committees of the following conferences and workshop: The 2003 IEEE International Conference on Information Reuse and Integration (IEEE IRI-2003).
