Support or Life Cycle Logistics

The area of Support Logistics predominantly concerns itself with Logistics support of complex systems. The primary focus of Support Logistics is to ensure the ongoing operational availability of systems and equipment. Such equipment range from highly sophisticated military systems, complex engineering systems, to day-to-day support of household goods, such as home computes, the family car, domestic equipment such as washing machines, micro wave ovens, etc. it includes activities such as the after-sales support of products and services, the specification and support of an organisation’s internal capital equipment; in the military it is called Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
